Welcome to our website!
Eric and Amy Norman
and our Cajun dogues are active members of the Dogue de
Bordeaux Society of America. We are not a kennel and all of our dogues live
in our home through out their lives. They are our family members and we can
not imagine our lives with out them. We believe this breed is the greatest
in the world! However, we also believe that this breed is not for everyone.
While a wonderful, patient and intelligent family dog, they are also very
powerful and should have at least basic manners and be socialized as
puppies. Owners should be prepared for a degree of dog agression (usually
same sex agression, but it can vary with every dogue). This breed is not
with out its health issues as well. Health concerns with in the breed are
typical to other giant breeds such as othropedic issues, lymphoma and
congintial heart issues. While getting a puppy from parents who have been
health tested, it does not give you a guarantee that your pup will be
completely healthy, but it certainly does increase the odds and health
testing is extremely important to improving the over all health of the
breed. We strongly suggest that all owners and enthusiasts become members
of the DDBSA. Whether you are
looking for a new family
member or for information regarding the breed, we are happy to assist you.
